Christmas is the loneliest time of the year for more than 1.5 million older people, research suggests. A study by the charity Age UK found the bereaved are hit hardest, with more than 750,000 widowed people feeling isolated over the festive season.
Which is why here at The Chace, our door is always open with mince pies readily available! We’re all looking forward to the festivities of December and very much look forward to welcoming all our residents’ family and friends to The Chace during the month.
Birthday greetings for December go to Margaret on the 5th, Ann on the 7th, and Barbara on the 14th
Activities with TOFF this month include, singing for the Brain, take a trip down memory lane, pet therapy with the guinea pig and dog walking, Past and Present – share a memory and Cinema Club, these will be in either the Blue Lounge or wherever the biggest group gathers.
